Rishabh Pant on Thursday (July 24) won the hearts of the cricket fraternity, including Sachin Tendulkar, when he came out to bat despite suffering a serious injury on the second day of the ongoing fourth Test between India and England in the 2025 Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
After taking painkillers and an injection in his toe, the injured Pant was reminded of the 2002 Antigua match when Anil Kumble, with a broken jaw, bowled 14 consecutive overs and dismissed the dangerous Brian Lara.

The Indian vice-captain was greeted with a standing ovation by the spectators. Pant added 17 runs after returning and completed his half-century, but was dismissed by Jofra Archer for 54.
